THE DEEP REMEMBERS

Laws of the Deep

The Unclaimed Isle is a frontier, but it is not lawless. These are the expectations that keep the world alive and the stories honest.

Community Service is Non-Negotiable

Every player contributes 2 hours per week as a Zombie (or as an NPC/Storyteller). This is the foundation of a living world and removes bias from staff decisions. Completing your service also feeds your daily profession tokens.

Abuse (AFK, logging out, exploiting) results in removal. Patreon lets you opt out of the service requirement for cosmetic perks only — it grants no CST or mechanical advantage.

Roleplay & Theme

  • Everyone starts as a Commoner. No one arrives on the frontier already powerful or titled. Life Paths are earned over months of play.
  • Stay in character. The setting is dark, ancient, and elegant. Modern slang, out-of-character bleed, and meme behavior break immersion for everyone.
  • Respect the factions. Imperial faith is law where the Light reaches. Orcs remember their dead. Elves play games measured in generations. The Untethered are monsters — there are no “good” vampires or honorable liches here.
  • Consent and lines. ERP exists in the setting (rituals, cults, certain Life Paths) but is never public spectacle. All players are adults; discuss boundaries privately.

Progression & CST

All meaningful advancement (Life Paths, advanced races, spells, attributes, exotic materials) flows through Community Service Tokens earned via weekly service.

  • • Life Path unlock: 6 CST (one-time)
  • • Life Path stage promotions: 1–3 CST each
  • • Skill point: 1 CST (max 11)
  • • Attribute point: 2 CST (max 7)
  • • New spell: 1–3 CST depending on rank
  • • Exotic crafting materials: 2 CST

Once you accept a Life Path, regular profession growth locks. This is the final chapter of your character.

Staff, Applications & Boundaries

Staff approval is light but real. You do not need permission to spend your CST on a Life Path, but staff may deny concepts that are blatantly outside the lore (example: a Goblin Anointed of Aureon).

Visible character growth, consistent roleplay, and upholding the themes of your chosen path are required to keep it. Neglect or active contradiction can result in loss of the path and all progress.

The Frontier is Earned

Resources are scarce. Power is fragmented. Every law, sermon, battle, and alliance must be earned through grit, guile, and endurance. The island tests everyone who walks it.

If you are here only to be handed power or to disrupt the stories of others without contributing, this is not your place.
